Since I was a young girl, I’ve always had a love for everything beach related. I grew up with the sound of the ocean as my background music. When I first learned to swim it was in the ocean. The sight, the sounds and the smell bring back fond memories not only of my childhood, but all through my life. There was a period in my life that I didn’t live by the beach, I longed for the sights, the sound and the feel of sand under my feet. I would countdown the days until I was back by the ocean. Finally, I relocated near the beach in Florida. But I am now ready to find my true home and as such begins my series of articles and my search for my home.
For a while now all my kids hear from me is that I want to live the beach lifestyle. Both of my children are in College. So that frees me up for the first time in my life to explore. I will admit it I have wanderlust. I want to travel to different beaches and see new sights and sounds. I am looking for a comfortable home in a beach community that has the kind of beach lifestyle that I am looking for.
I have been told over and over the beach lifestyle is way too expensive and you have to be rich. Well I don’t believe it and I will find it! I see magazines and articles on beach homes and while they are nice the average person cannot afford a million dollar or more home.
There has to be a way to live the beach life that I want without being rich. So sets out my quest to find that lifestyle. On this journey that I am going to take, I am going to try to find the perfect place for me to live that is within my budget and has the lifestyle I am looking for.
And so stay tuned for my series of articles as I wander and search for that perfect spot for me! And of course I welcome all thoughts and ideas on different areas and your thoughts on them.
